APP FOR EASY GARDENING
Enkel Odling
Problem
Many great apps and platforms exist that cater to the requirements of gardening enthusiasts. But what alternatives are available for individuals who aren't keen on gardening or lack the time and resources, but still appreciate a green outdoor environment?
Goal
Make it easier with curating a green place, for those who may not have the interest, time or energy to navigate the planting project independently.
Process
The research process started by analyzing the current market, followed by mapping the customer journey. While exploring this journey, I identified a gap in the market. Thus realizing the absence of a product that fulfills this need in the current market, while there are several apps available for crop planning. But none of these provide comprehensive guidance instructions throughout the entire customer journey, from selection to delivery.
Persona
The app caters to a wide range of users, including both experienced planters and beginners. To better understand the target group, I developed two personas capturing key demographic details. Such as motivations, goals, and challenges. This helped me emphasize with users and design solutions that truly meet their needs.
Visual identity
I aimed to create a visually appealing and vibrant app design that would bring joy to the customer's experience while maintaining a clean look. The font Merryweather Sans was selected for its modern and friendly appearance, as well as its excellent readability on screens, even at small sizes. This attribute is particularly important as the app will be used by people of different ages, including those with impaired vision.
Solution
Enkel Odling is an app that guides customers through the entire journey of buying plants and accessories, from selection to delivery. By using AI technology the app interprets photos, determining the user's position, and provides plant suggestions based on their preferences and location.
The app is linked to a company that specializes in gardening and the customer can choose between home delivery or saving the shopping list for shopping elsewhere.
By guiding the customer through the whole buying process, it will make the experience a lot easier for the customer and in that way increase the conversion rate and loyalty.

Learnings
Through this project, I have gained valuable insights into the importance of understanding the target audience and how it impacts the creation of meaningful experiences. Additionally, I have learned about the customer journey and how it is used to identify and address specific problems, ultimately developing the best solution that caters to these problems.
